Sahil: Couldn’t Balance Job and IELTS Prep, Still Achieved His Score

Sahil always wanted to study abroad for his Master’s. He had completed his B.Com in Ahmedabad and was working a full-time job in sales. But the problem was simple — no time to study.
Every day he returned home tired, mentally exhausted, and too stressed to prepare for IELTS. He tried self-study two times and even attempted the exam once… but his score didn’t improve. His confidence started dropping.
One evening he said to his friend,
“Maybe IELTS is not for people who work. I don’t think I can do this anymore.”
But he still wanted one last try. That’s when he came to Globetrix Overseas.
Understanding Sahil’s Problem
When we met him, he was confused and frustrated.
His challenges were clear:
- He had no fixed study time
- He couldn’t manage job + preparation
- He didn’t know the right techniques
- Reading took too long
- Writing was his weakest part
We told him:
“You don’t need more hours. You need a better plan.”
Step 1: Fixing the Timetable
We didn’t ask him to study 3–4 hours daily.
We made a job-friendly timetable:
- 30 minutes Reading (early morning)
- 30 minutes Listening (during commute)
- 45 minutes Writing (evening)
- Speaking practice on call
- Weekend mock tests at the centre
This schedule gave him consistency without stress.
Step 2: Teaching Smart Tricks
Sahil’s reading speed was slow, so we taught him:
- How to spot keywords
- How to find answers quickly
For Writing, we gave him:
- Simple structure
- Ready-to-use templates
- 24-hour writing evaluation
His confidence started returning. He said after one week:
“I feel like I’m finally studying the right way.”
Step 3: The Turning Point
During a Sunday mock test, something changed. Sahil scored more than he ever had before. For the first time, he believed he could achieve his target.
He started looking forward to practice sessions, even after long work shifts.
Final Result
After 6 weeks of preparation, Sahil attempted IELTS again. This time, he improved his score in all modules especially Reading and Writing.
He said with a big smile,
“I didn’t think a person with a full-time job could do this. But your timetable and support made it possible.”
Today, Sahil is preparing his documents for admission, and his dream of studying abroad feels real again.
At Globetrix Overseas, we always remind our students:
“Your dream is not small. You just need the right plan to achieve it.”
